Cosori Air Fryer Recall
In 2020, Cosori, a popular brand of kitchen appliances, issued a recall of over 100,000 air fryers due to a potential fire hazard. The recall affected Cosori’s Premium 5.8-Quart Air Fryer, model number CP158-AF, which had been sold on various online platforms including Amazon, Walmart, and Cosori’s own website. The recall was initiated after Cosori received over 100 reports of the air fryer overheating and smoking, with five incidents resulting in flames or fires that caused damage to kitchen countertops and cabinets. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The affected air fryers were sold between June 2018 and July 2020, and had the following serial numbers: 1718, 1728, 1738, 1748, 1758, and 1768. The serial number is located on the underside of the fryer, on a label that also displays the model number and other information.
